The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 requires Scottish public authorities to produce and maintain a publication scheme. Authorities are under a legal obligation to:
- publish the classes of information that they make routinely available
- tell the public how to access the information and what it might cost
HM Inspectorate of Prosecution in Scotland has adopted the Model Publication Scheme (2017 edition) produced by the Scottish Information Commissioner. Anyone can request information from us and this Guide to information shows what sort of information we hold and where you can get it. Information included in this guide is available from our website.
Information not listed in the publication scheme
If the information you are looking for is not included in the scheme you can submit a request in writing or via e-mail. Details on how to do this are set out in our Guide to information. Please be specific about the information that you are looking for – it helps us to identify what you require and answer your request more promptly. While you do not have to explain why you want the information, if you are happy to do this it may help us to answer your request more satisfactorily.
If you wish to request information you can submit this using our online contact form
For those who cannot access the information online or if you would like to request information in paper form, please write to us at:
